The humble brags of the British vegetable patch are suddenly all the rage as the latest beauty ingredients. Meet the new mint and rhubarb must-haves.
Floral Street Electric Rhubarb eau de parfum (£58, floralstreet.com). Made in collaboration with the Royal Horticultural Society, the summery bottle contains a mouthwatering blend of rhubarb, frangipani and island gardenia that is bright and fruity without being too saccharine.
Summerdown Mint Awakening Mint & Lemongrass Shower Gel (£15, summerdownmint.com) contains Black Mitcham peppermint oil and aromatic lemongrass to pack an uplifting punch – with added borage seed oil and aloe vera gel for a lovely rich lather.
Aveda Rosemary Mint Bath Bar (£14, aveda.co.uk) is moisturising, exfoliating and contains an energising combination of organic rosemary and peppermint, which lingers long after you’ve left the tub.
Experimental Perfume Club Rose Rhubarb eau de parfum (£95, experimentalperfumeclub.com) was created to layer with other perfumes for a bespoke scent, but it’s equally delicious on its own. Tart rhubarb and delicate rose combine for a delightfully fresh fragrance.
Radox Feel Energised Peppermint & Keylime Shower Gel (£1, boots.com) is an invigorating wake-up. And a snip at only £1.
Diptyque Eau de Minthé eau de parfum (£120, diptyqueparis.co.uk). Mint gets surprisingly sexy in this scent – with a blend of patchouli and geranium for added sophistication.
Exposure to pollution can leave scalps clogged up and hair dull. Klorane Anti-Pollution Detox Shampoo (£8, escentual.com), with aquatic mint, purifies hair without stripping it – plus there are extra green points for its 95 per cent biodegradable formula and 50 per cent recycled plastic bottle.
Miller Harris Lost In The City eau de parfum (£95, millerharris.com) is inspired by the nature found on an urban wander. Angelica seed, blackcurrant and geranium are blended with rhubarb for a green and incredibly chic scent.
