Skinfix Hand Repair Cream

YOU Beauty Box January reviews

This hand cream is a real thirst quencher for your skin but, refreshingly, it’s not greasy like so many other intensive hand creams and lotions and has a neutral scent that doesn’t mask my perfume! My hands have been suffering over the last month or so but Skinfix eliminated the dry patches and made my skin feel comfortable and protected, like there is a protective barrier to keep my skin soft.

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor Deep Conditioner

YOU Beauty Box January reviews

I’m a huge fan of Aussie haircare, whilst the products are effective, they also smell amazing – and this conditioner is no exception! It acts as a hair mask, so make sure you give it a couple of minutes – or maybe 3(!) – Before you wash it out again. As our hair is subject to changes in weather and temperature all the time, it does receive a good battering. A deep treatment like this, designed especially for damaged hair, is inexpensive and provides a good fix to bring your locks back to life. I’ve been using this for years now and swear by it. So if you’re in the market for healthy conditioned hair this January then get your hands on this.

Argan Liquid Gold’s Multi-Tone BB Cream

YOU Beauty Box January reviews

I love a good BB cream, especially during the winter months when my skin is a lot dryer than usual so I was very excited to see Argan Liquid Gold’s Multi-Tone BB Cream in this month’s box! The thought of putting Organic Argan Oil mixed with 24 Carat Gold onto my skin was an opportunity too good to pass up, and the results were just as pleasing. This BB cream is perfect for daily wear, it’s light and soft and has amazing staying powder. It matched my complexion really well and gave my face a gorgeous glow. Perfect for a day at work or after a gym session!

Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peel review

YOU Beauty Box January reviews

I’m always on the hunt for products which will make my skin look brighter and rejuvenated and Dr Dennis Gross’ Alpha Beta Peel does just that. A lot of the time the word ‘peel’ freaks many people out but it just means getting rid of the old/dead skin and showcasing the new and beautiful skin underneath. Our skin sheds naturally so introducing the Alpha Beta Peel into my skincare routine has changed my skins environment and made it look far healthier and noticeably more radiant.

Dr.Ceuticals Pumice Foot Scrub

YOU Beauty Box January reviews

We all know it but perhaps just a little embarrassed to admit it…it’s January, our feet have been hiding in boots, trainers and the likes for the last couple of months, they are not exactly in their most presentable of form at present. Well that was true until Dr.Ceuticals fell into my January box and I was able to give myself a form of pedicure in the style of a Pumice Foot Scrub. I have very ticklish feet which isn’t ideal, but massage the scrub over wet feet paying attention to the rougher/ tougher areas such as the heel and watch as your feet are given a makeover. With Shea and Cocoa butter, Peppermint and Menthol, this is a great scrub for exfoliating, moisturising and conditioning your feet.

Masque Bar Pore Refining Creme Mask

YOU Beauty Box January reviews

As someone with quite large pores, I am a huge fan of face masks and Masque Bar’s Pore Refining crème mask certainly didn’t disappoint. The cream itself was so smooth and silky making it lovely to apply (if a little messy) and there was so much in the sachet it could’ve stretched to two uses which is great.

Application was easy, and after 15-20 minutes I removed the mask to find that my skin was silky smooth, squeaky clean and my pores were noticeably smaller. I was incredibly happy with the results!

Prevasore Lip Therapy

YOU Beauty Box January reviews

Up until last winter I hadn’t had cold sores since I was a teenager but all of a sudden, following a series of rotten colds, I felt really rough and started getting them again. I’m also finding that, as I get older, my lips are getting dryer quicker and tend to crack at the first sign of winter. Prevasore dropped onto my desk at just the right time and left my lips visibly transformed and so much softer within a week of using a couple of time daily. I love the fact that it keeps skin in such good condition that it helps prevent cold sores too.

Noughty Intensive Care Leave In Conditioner

YOU Beauty Box January reviews

This 97% natural hair conditioner is one of the best value leave-in conditioners that I have tried to date. Retailing at around £6.99, you’re getting a really luxurious hair treatment for an absolute bargain – particularly when you order as part of your monthly beauty box! It coats hair in a cocktail of super hydrating and nourishing ingredients but doesn’t leave it at all greasy (I have thin hair and would have been the first to notice). I colour my hair regularly now and this conditioner has really smoothed my split ends and renewed my hair’s shine.

Nip + Fab Glycolic Serum

YOU Beauty Box January reviews

This is an overnight serum that contains 4% glycolic acid with the aim of retexturing the skin’s surface whilst you sleep. I used this daily for two weeks and my skin has certainly smoothed in appearance since. It looks generally a lot more rested and my complexion is more even than it was before I started using it. The biggest change of all though, has come in the reduced appearance of pores – they are much less visible and, overall, my skin looks and feels revived.
