Miranda fans, rejoice. The hilarious BBC sitcom is officially returning to our TV screens and it’ll be back much sooner than you think.
The broadcaster has confirmed that the comedy series, starring Miranda Hart, will return for a one-off special at The London Palladium to celebrate its 10 year anniversary and we frankly, we cannot contain our excitement.
Miranda: My Such Fun Celebration, will star the woman herself as well as the rest of the main cast including Tom Ellis, Sarah Hadland, Patricia Hodge and Sally Phillips. The live show will be filmed and aired on BBC One for fans to watch later this year – our guess is around Christmas time.
Speaking of the special reunion show, Hart said: ‘What happened with my sitcom and comedy alter-ego over the last 10 years has been unexpected to say the least, so it’s very moving for me to have the chance to celebrate and thank my cast and the fans from The Palladium stage. We are hoping to put together a what I call such fun hour of television for them all.’
It's what I call an announcement for our 10th anniversary celebration of #Miranda filmed at The London Palladium. Expect much silliness, dancing and enforced galloping!

Similarly, the BBC described the one-off show, saying: ‘Miranda: My Such Fun Celebration promises an unforgettable night of magical memories, and with Miranda at the helm, viewers can expect not only some poignant reflections and behind the scenes titbits but much silliness, dancing and enforced galloping.’
While Charlotte Moore, Director of BBC Content added: ‘Miranda is one of the great British sitcoms so to celebrate its 10th anniversary, this BBC One special promises an hour of pure unadulterated fun from the home of entertainment itself, The London Palladium.’
The sitcom first aired back in November 2009 and ran for three series, as well as a couple of specials, quickly becoming one of the nation’s most treasured comedies – we’re certain the anniversary show will go down a treat.
