Love gin? Who doesn’t?! In our humble opinion, it is the single best spirit ever created, and it’s safe to say the majority of the nation these days would probably agree. One place that certainly does is the Asda headquarters – or at least, their drinks buyers.
The supermarket, which is known for offering alternative flavours of gin, has just extended its popular range by introducing three new exciting flavours inspired by classic sweets – lemon sherbet, pear drops and parma violet.
The nostalgic new flavours not only sound delicious, but they look gorgeous too. Think summery pastel colours like soft pink, yellow and a deep violet. Plus, the lemon sherbet flavour contains actual hints of glitter, meaning you can make an impressive pretty cocktail with minimal effort.
Ed Sowerby, Asda spirits product manager, said: ‘Novelty, quality gins have become a summer must-have for customers looking to entertain with flair and flavour. Working closely with our suppliers, we’ve created a range of gins which are both glitzy and gorgeous to look at, but also deliver popular flavours the nation knows and loves.’
And of course, it’s only right that the quirky gins are paired with the correct mixers to enhance their flavours – so much so that the experts at Asda have also released a selection of tonics that perfectly match the spirits, from rhubarb soda with a hint of cardamom and lemonade with Sicilian lemon to blood orange and rosemary tonic water.
What’s more? Asda is also introducing ‘Gin Wheel’ guides in-store, to help customers match their favourite gins with the new range of tonics. Talk about making your weekly shop a lot more fun, eh!
Both the new flavoured gins and mixers are now available at Asda. So, what are you waiting for?
