April Organic & Natural YBB Team Reviews

Amie Skincare Morning Dew™ Matte-Finish Moisturiser

This moisturiser is the perfect cure for oily skin! It’s light, yet hydrating, and keeps the oil at bay all day. It has a matte finish so works perfect under foundation as a primer, or on bare skin minimising the need for powder or blotting paper. Overall, it’s a great product! Brogan Wright

AA Skincare Green Tea & Aloe Vera Soothing Cleansing Wipes

As I suffer from sensitive skin I am always wary of cleansing wipes as they can severely irritate my skin, but as these wipes are paraben free and PH balanced, they are the perfect handbag essential. They are a little drier than other wipes I have used in the past, but were still gentle on the skin and removed all traces of make-up, leaving my skin feeling clean and refreshed and completely without irritation. Brogan Wright

Balm Balm Multi Purpose Tea Tree Lip Balm

It is always good to keep a Tea Tree Lip Balm handy in the handbag to dab on when needed. With Shea butter, sunflower, beeswax, jojoba, calendula and tea tree essential oil, this product is packed full of goodness and smells rather lovely too. A soft balm consistency I use it on my lips and also on my hands when they are feeling really dry. Charlotte Ashton

Balance Me Tinted Wonder Eye Cream

When I first received this product the first thing that came to mind was ‘why has nobody come up with this before/why have I never seen/used it before?’. What a novel idea from Balance Me. Usually I just use an eye cream and concealer under my eyes but after using this product it’s made my routine that little bit quicker, ‘two birds, one stone’ and all that. The Wonder Eye Cream is beautifully light, moisturising and gives your eyes the brightness they need when you are feeling tired. I would highly recommend this and its designed for all skin tones which makes it even better! Cassie Hallala

Super Toning Body Polish

I’ve exfoliated for the past few years now and I fully believe that it’s an essential part of any woman’s beauty regime. Generally, I use a body brush which sits in my shower but sometimes I think this can be quite harsh on your skin so when Balance Me’s Super Toning Body Polish fell into my lap, I was keen to give it a go. This gorgeous product really does make your skin feel baby soft. The top of my arms are always quite rough so I focussed on these areas when using it and I can really feel a difference after just a week. Love it! Cassie Hallala

REN Skincare Evercalm™ Ultra Comforting Rescue Mask

There’s a luxuriously smooth, soft and clean feel to this mask that doesn’t crack or harden like other masks but felt like it was feeding my skin with moisture – even more so after it was washed off. It left my skin feeling soft, smooth, moisturised, never greasy, and super clean and you get at least 2 generous uses from this product too – I’ve managed a comfortable three, by focusing particularly on my most stressed areas. Jurilque Rosewater Balancing Mist

This lovely little product is a first of Jurlique that I’ve tried and I must start by telling you that it smells divine (thanks to the flower extracts) and it is oh so refreshing too. Whilst is a nice refresher for the morning, my favourite time to use the balancing mist is in the afternoon when I feel a bit sluggish and in need of a quick pick-me-up. It really works! Plus, it hydrates the skin too so you’re feel soothed, refreshed and ready to go. Charlotte Ashton

PHB Ethical Beauty Organic Lip Crayon in Pink

This is a natural lip liner that compliments and blends well with a range of my pinky lipsticks – so it’s super versatile but still does a great job. The lip crayon really defines my lip shape, and lifts the shape as it goes – it’s easy and smooth to apply as well, making my favourite lipstick feel extra special! Tessa Bali

Bee Good Youth Enhancing, Smooth & Prime Serum

I have only just realised the importance of serum.  It’s the best protector for your skin, especially if you live in a city!  This is one of my favourite brands anyway so I knew I would love it.  What makes this serum different for me is that it’s gentle and helps my makeup glide on easily.  I would recommend this for all ages – serums are not just for when you get older, get started now and you’ll notice an immediate difference. The Organic Pharmacy Marigold & Comfrey Hand Cream

I already use The Organic Pharmacy eye cream and love to wander around their stores.  They’re such an amazing brand that I trust – with all of their products feeling natural and tested to work.  So, even though the sun might be out, my crisp morning walk to work still sees my hands dry by the time I get to my desk. This hand cream is now my must-have handbag essential and I have seen a real difference every day – also, a little goes a long way, which is always a plus! White Rabbit Skincare Comfort Cleansing Balm

Working in London the smog and dirt can sometimes irritate my skin and leave it looking really dull. When I get home, I like to rub a small amount of this cleansing balm in a circular motion on my face. Not only does it effectively cleanse my skin, the lovely lavender aroma really relaxes me after a hard day’s work. Before I used this product I always assumed that natural or organic products wouldn’t be as effective in getting rid of dirt and build up on my face. How wrong was I! This is now one of my go-to products for those days when my skin needs a little love and I give myself a mini at-home facial. Hannah Jolly

Benecos Hand Cream for happy hands

I have a 13 month old baby so my hands are always in and out of water – if I’m not washing and sterilising her bottles, I’m bathing her. The Benecos Hand Cream for happy hands sits by the bath in my bathroom and is the first thing I reach for once my little girl is all dried off. The fragrance isn’t overpowering, it’s very subtle and leaves my hands feeling smooth and soft. I have quite sensitive skin so where possible I always try and use organic products to avoid any possible reactions. In the past I have found that some organic products aren’t as effective when it comes to moisturising as an equivalent naughty chemical filled product, but that certainly isn’t the case for the Benecos Hand Cream. Hannah Jolly

First thing first – this product is ideal for normal or combination skin, it’s not really designed for dry skin types and, judging by the texture, I don’t think dry skin types would reap the benefits that this offers others. I trialled this moisturiser for two weeks and was pleasantly surprised by the immediate difference that it made to my complexion – it mattifies but somehow gives it a brightening lift at the same time. Skin appears smoother and less stressed and cocktail of potent ingredients ensure skin is as flawless as possible and protected all day long. Holly Wadsworth-Hill

Friendly Soap Lavender and Geranium Hair and Body Bar

Let’s start with the obvious – this smells amazing. Secondly, whilst a strong fragrance usually means a drying effect, this hair and body bar is a gentle cleanser and contains only the purest essential oils, the oils don’t weigh skin or hair down in the slightest – but I think they must be responsible for the nourishing effect. The cleansing bar is 100% natural, handmade and free from all nasties, which means there has been a lot of care and attention put into getting the balance just right. The result is a premium bath product that multi-tasks without compromise. Holly Wadsworth-Hill

Pip & Nut Coconut Almond Butter Squeeze Pack

This product was totally new to me and I knew it was going to be a bit of a taste adjustment. However, once I realised I was looking at this product all wrong, I really embraced it. This is not (or doesn’t have to be) a replacement for regular butter – it’s far too exciting for that! Combine these scrumptious flavours, derived from only the tastiest natural ingredients (and excluding palm oils and refined sugars), with a banana, brioche or swirled into porridge and enjoy the sweet nutty flavour – it’s completely different but utterly delicious.
