For some of us, animal print has never gone out of style (personally, you’ll have to prise my leopard print ankle boots from my cold, dead hands). For others, it was a trend that catapulted up the style stakes a couple of years ago, only to be ditched in favour grey marl tracksuits and mountains of beige as tonal dressing had its moment.
Come autumn, however, we’ll once more be taking a walk on the wild side. Numerous designers including Ganni, Dries Van Noten, Celine and longtime leopard print lovers Dolce & Gabbana have gone heavy on the animal print in their A/W ’22 collections, and this has spread to the high street, with brands such as H&M going big on the trend.
This is a great chance to dust off those animal print lovelies already in your wardrobe – and we’re not just talking leopard. Snakeskin, zebra print and tiger stripes all get a look in too, as do colourful versions of classic animal prints. Whether you opt for an all-over animal print dress, or hint to the trend with a belt or bag, there are plenty of ways to wear it – and some fabulous options on the high street.
