Andrea McLean’s burgundy dress is a Zara sale bargain

2019 has already brought us plenty of style inspiration – from sale bargains from Marks & Spencer to the most sold-out item from John Lewis & Partners in recent months. And now we’re getting style suggestions on-screen as well as in store, thanks to Andrea McLean‘s gorgeous transitional midi dress.

Andrea, 49, appeared on a recent episode of ITV’s Loose Women wearing the long-sleeved dress, which featured a contrasting white collar and cuffs, pleated skirt and button detailing, instantly setting us on the hunt to find the exact piece and add it to our own wardrobes too.

Luckily, we didn’t have to look too far, as the outfit is from high street hero Zara, and even better? It’s reduced in their annual January sale.

When it first arrived under the dresses tav on the Zara website, the item would have set you back £39.99, but now the price has been cut by 25 per cent, meaning you’ll only need to pay £29.99 to get your hands on it.

Despite the fact that she always looks chic and polished behind the Loose Women desk, Andrea, who penned a book about her experiences with the menopause in 2018, says her appearance on TV is something of an illusion.

‘I’m in the public eye so people just expect me to turn up looking shiny and amazing, and clearly I’m not really like that. Trust me, it takes a team of experts to put this together; I don’t really look like I do on TV!’ she exclaimed during an interview with Prima earlier this year.

‘I wear Spanx to hold everything in, a push-up bra to hold everything up! It’s all an illusion, but I want to keep that illusion because I like looking nice. I absolutely do not want to look 25. I’ll be 50 next year and I just want to look good for my age! That’s all.’
