These ‘Bridget Jones’ pants are receiving thousands of rave reviews on Amazon

There are plenty of reasons why the Bridget Jones’ Diary films are such cult classic romcoms. But the main one is of course, Bridget’s universal relatability. And one thing we were certainly always with her on was her love for, in the words of Daniel Cleaver, ‘absolutely enormous’ pants.

The famous character, played wonderfully by Renee Zellweger, is known for her oversized control underpants – and now, Amazon are selling a popular pair that could almost have been inspired by Bridge herself.

The e-tail giant’s Sloggi Control Pants have received rave reviews as well as thousands of five-star ratings on its website. The pants, which come in a pack of two for £17.90, with three different colours to choose from, and a size range of 10-24, have even been hailed as the ‘Rolls Royce’ of underwear. So you can imagine how comfortable they must be.

And that’s not all. The underwear is available in a range of timeless cuts with light control, making it not only a dream to wear but extra flattering on the tummy. It also has a special waistband for a shapewear effect, making it an excellent choice to wear underneath a closer-fitting dress.

‘My favourite underwear. Not in the least glamorous, but comfortable and with a little support,’ one happy customer wrote in a review, while another explained: ‘I never buy anything else. Obviously it’s not anything like a girdle, but it gives a very slight control to the tummy area and is comfortable to wear. To me, there is a very noticeable difference in “control” between the normal thinner material Sloggi pants and these pants. I’ve been buying these for several years and would never go back to normal Sloggi pants now.’

Similarly, another reviewer added: ‘Sloggi never cease to impress me. Their control maxi pants are incredibly comfortable without being constricting and circulation cutting.’

We don’t know about you, but we’re definitely going to need a pair.
