Aldi’s Lacura range has been causing quite the stir in recent months. Be it their Glam Glow-inspired masks or the Jo Malone London candle dupes, it’s a supermarket beauty brand that has had everyone talking. So it comes as no surprise that their latest dupe takes on one of beauty’s biggest all-time heroes: YSL’s Touche Éclat.
Lacura’s aptly named ‘Concealer Pen’ is packaged in a gold tube with a white brush and black clicker bottom, much like the eponymous YSL product.
The formula itself sounds pretty similar to the original too, promising to cover under eye imperfections as well as adding a subtle luminous highlight.
‘Cover up those blemishes and dark circles with the push of a button when you have this Lacura Savanna Concealer Pen close by,’ the product description reads.
‘A handy and stylish accessory to keep in your bag at all times, this will help you freshen up in mere moments. The light reflecting cream is especially developed for undereye shadows and it is also ideal as an eyeshadow base.’
Unlike the original Touche Éclat, which comes in 14 shades, Aldi’s concealer only comes in three shades for different skin tones: Cashmere, Amber and Savanna. YSL has also cleverly capitalised on the success of their beloved concealer by launching Touche Éclat foundations, primers and shimmer sticks, while Aldi is yet to announce an entire range.
Despite this, the price difference is pretty astounding. While YSL’s bestselling pen sells for £25, Aldi is retailing theirs for just £2.99 – and if their sales are anything to go by, it seems like fans are lapping it up.
All three shades of the limited edition product are already sold out online, meaning there’s only one route you can take if you’re desperate to get your hands on one: seeking it out in store. If you’re hoping to try one, we recommend you move quickly!
