A new perfume is the ultimate way to treat yourself to a slice of luxury, but when designer perfumes can cost upwards of £80, it can sometimes be hard to justify the purchase.
So when Aldi released not one but three new perfumes, we were more than a bit excited. At just £4.99 each for a 100ml bottle, they make the perfect everyday scent – at that price, we’re not worried about spritzing away to our heart’s (and nose’s) content. Even better, two of them look to be dupes for well-known designer scents, making them even more of a bargain.
First up is the Floral Noir Et Blanc Eau De Parfum, which we’ve been told is rather similar to Marc Jacobs’s Daisy perfume. While its inspiration costs £79 for 100ml, the Aldi perfume is a fraction of that price and contains similar floral and woody notes. Fresh and feminine, it has top notes of strawberry, the green aroma of violet leaf and spicy pink grapefruit, heart notes of gardenia, violet and jasmine and base notes of white woods, vanilla and musk.
The next new Aldi perfume is the Je Suis Belle Eau De Parfum, a dead ringer for Miss Dior by French fashion house Dior (£84.15 for 100ml). In a simple clear glass bottle is a fragrance ‘whose concept is centered on the idea of natural and simple beauty and freedom from convention.’ With top notes including blackcurrant and pear, heart notes of orange blossom and jasmine and base notes of tonka beans, praline, patchouli and vanilla, this is an altogether feminine and sensual floral scent.
Lastly, the E1 Exclusive Eau De Parfum, which, just like its counterparts, also costs just £4.99. This luxurious Aldi perfume is said to evoke the glamour, elegance and fun of a fashionable New York Party.
Fresh, sensual and feminine, the top note is pink champagne, while its heart note is peach tree blossom and its base note is made up of queen woods, musk and amber. Intoxicating stuff.
