If you're anything like me, as soon as the clocks go forward you start thinking about sitting in the sunshine, soaking up every bit of light you can after suffering through the cold, dark winter months. If you couldn't tell, I'm a summer person. I would choose dressing up in a pretty dress, dining alfresco with some kind of spritz in hand over knitwear and those so-called cosy but cold, long nights every time.

I text David to tell him I’m so nervous about moving and marrying him that I wake at 4am every day, stomach churning. Even the dogs are still snoring. I’ve never been vulnerable like this with him before. I have always put on a brave face, leaving him to read about my insecurities later. But he surprises me by being incredibly supportive.
