Aldi’s Jo Malone-style candles just got a giant makeover

If you’re of the mind that bigger is always better, you’re going to love what’s just arrived in store at Aldi. The store’s luxury candles, which have drawn many a comparison to Jo Malone’s range, have just been supersized, and they’re already flying off the shelves.

The new hurricane gift candles come in two scent options – rich, warming Pomegranate or zesty Lime, Basil & Mandarin, and offer an amazing 200 hours of burning time, thanks to their four wicks and hefty 2.5kg weight. (For comparison’s sake, the smaller £3.99 versions we all know and love already are 290g).

‘I was very excited to see this larger version of the smaller candle on sale,’ wrote one, ‘Complete bargain compared to other similar versions on the market, Pomegranate scent is my favourite and the fragrance during and after burning is just the right level. Definitely going to buy more as Christmas gifts!’

‘I have purchased these candles in the two and three wick versions before. That did not prepare me for the size of this one! It’s huge!’ another exclaimed. ‘And looks amazing, just like it’s much more expensive “cousin”. I bought 4, 2 Pomegranate and 2 Lime Basil and Mandarin, which should last me all year! Also went back and ordered one to be delivered to my mum for Christmas!’
