If you’re anything like us, your Easter holiday weekend meal plan will mainly consist of an amazing Sunday roast, all of the chocolate eggs you can get your hands on, and a glass of two of your favourite tipple. Luckily, budget supermarket Aldi has just made the latter even more affordable, with an epic Easter prosecco deal.
Aldi is known for its wine selection, often beating high-end labels to the top spot in various industry award ceremonies – but that quality doesn’t come at a high cost.
Normally a bottle of Castellore Prosecco Frizzante DOC from the store would set you back £5.49, while Prosecco Spumante DOC would cost £5.99. But to celebrate the bank holiday, Aldi is slashing the price even further, to £3.99 and £4.99 respectively for full-size bottles of fizz – and thanks to its online ordering system, you can even get a box delivered direct to your door.
Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi and frankly, our new personal prosecco hero, commented on the offer: ‘With the buzz of Easter weekend building, we’re excited to be able to offer our customers great-value and quality fizz for any celebration.’
Aldi describes the Castellore Prosecco Frizzante as ‘a semi-sparkling wine’ that ‘has the same soft and fruity peach, pear and lemon zest flavours that you’d expect from our Castellore Prosecco DOC – just in a gentler Frizzante style.’
