Aldi’s Designer Lounge collection might be their best homeware offering yet

Once again, Aldi has come through for us all with a stylish new homeware collection that won’t leave a massive dent in our pockets, and this time, we’re extra impressed.

The Designer Lounge collection (we know, even the name is chic) has been inspired by the classic Italian terrazzo design, which originated in 16th-century Italy as a way to reuse offcuts from stone. The trend seems to be hot this season with many homeware designers opting for marble inspired prints, Aldi being the latest. So, what can you expect when you hit the shops?

There are 12 items available, one of which is a gorgeous – and expensive looking – vintage-inspired Floor Reading Lamp for £39.99. Another highlight is the Four Drawer Fabric Storage Unit, which will help you to you de-clutter your home for just £12.99 (along with the £6.99 Storage Tote and £7.99 Floating Shelves). Oh, and did we mention that that everything is available in coordinating shades? Pink and grey terrazzo, grey geometric and marble, of course.

As for seating, options include the Drum Bean Cube which is made from 100% cotton and will only set you back £29.99, and the Designer Lounge Stool for £14.99, which is available in three neutral tones with pinewood legs and a crochet cushioned top.

If you’re after more of a bargain, you won’t want to miss out on the Marble Geo Cushions sold at £5.99 – they come in five different prints so you’ll be spoilt for choice. Also worth looking out for are the £4.99 Marble Effect Placemat and Coaster Set and the £3.99 Geo Guest Towels (is it just us or do the prices keep getting smaller?!)

The new collection will be available to pre-order on Aldi’s website from 10 May and land in stores a week later on 17 May.

However, as dedicated Aldi lovers will be aware, you’ll have to be quick as the range is yet a Special Buy collection – once it’s gone, it’s gone!
