Their latest target, two famous Chanel perfumes, has cemented the budget supermarket’s reputation and quite frankly, we’re loving it.
Turning their attention to fragrance after a successful stint and make-up and skincare dupes, Aldi has released their own versions of Chanel’s beloved Coco Mademoiselle and Chanel No5.
Designed and packaged in a very similar style to the originals, Aldi’s versions of the signature Chanel scent has been named 5th Element Eau de Toilette (100ml) and is sold for just £6.99 – over £100 less than the original No5 which is priced at £110.
While we can’t promise that the scent is an exact match, the budget perfume has been hailed for being an impressive dupe. In fact, some have even argued that it is more wearable than the original Eau de Parfum, as it is slightly lighter.
Aldi’s second dupe is yet another applause-worthy take on Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle. Also priced at £6.99 for 100ml, this has been named Feminie Eau de Toilette and once again doesn’t look too dissimilar to the original bottle, except once again this one comes without the hefty £110 price tag.
Both perfumes are part of Aldi’s Special Buy section and judging by the success of their previous dupes, they won’t be around for long – so grab your bottle (whether it’s a gift or a personal purchase) before it’s too late.
While you’re there, take a look at the rest of Aldi’s collection of fragrances because obviously, they didn’t just stop at Chanel. If you’re shopping for your other half, you’ll be pleased to hear that the supermarket is also offering their own version of the Paco Rabanne One Million Aftershave. Titled the Lacura Victory fragrance and priced at £6.99, this is £42 less than the original make.
