Aldi is famous for its budget takes on high-end products, and this is certainly true for bath and bodycare products, whether we’re talking Jo Malone-inspired body wash or bath foam that’s a visual dupe for Molton Brown.
Here, we’ve rounded up the Aldi grooming and bathing products inspired by expensive brands. Remember, Aldi products tend to land in drops online and in-store, so not everything is available at once – but the hunt is all part of the fun!
Aldi bath and body product dupes
Lacura Honey Bath
Laura Mercier isn’t only known for its amazing tinted moisturisers – the brand’s Honey Bath Ambre Vanille is also a cult favourite. In fact, the indulgent honey-scented bath treat is so popular it’s sold out from plenty of retailers right now – but Aldi has a similar product to fill that honey bath-shaped hole in your life.
Lacura Honey Bath has calming scents of vanilla, honey and indulgent nectar, and contains sweet almond oil and provitamin B5 to help leave skin feeling super-soft and smelling delicious. It’s just what we need to create a soothing bathing ritual and, so popular was the dupe when it first launched in January this year that it became Aldi’s fastest-selling Lacura beauty product of all time.
Now that it’s back in stock online and in stores, we wouldn’t suggest hanging around for long to get your hands on it.
Aldi shoppers agree it’s a product worthy of the hype, with one writing: ‘Amazing dupe for Honey Bath by LM. Smells lovely packaging is very nearly identical and actually bubbles more in the bath than the real thing!!!!’
Aldi hand and body wash
When Jo Malone’s scented hand and body washes cost £32, Aldi’s £2.49 version is an incredible saving and the reviews are extremely positive too, with over 100 online reviews and an average star rating of 4.8/5. There’s a Lime, Basil & Mandarin version, too (also rated 4.8/5).
Aldi says: ‘Featuring a wonderfully delicious scent, this Pomegranate Body Wash will leave you feeling fabulous from head to toe. A luxurious addition to your bathroom, the soft and silky texture is a guaranteed way to make your skin feel nourished after a long relaxing shower.’
Aldi shower gel
With the same notes of bergamot, amber and vanilla, Aldi has, for the first time, taken on a dupe of The White Company’s hugely popular Seychelles bath and body range. There’s also a hand wash and hand lotion in the new Paradise range.
Aldi says: ‘Bring luxury touches into your bathroom with this Paradise Bath & Shower Gel. Designed to help you feel fabulous, the soft and silky body wash will leave your skin feeling wonderful all day long. Emitting wondrous scents too, this is the ideal way to make your baths and showers even more relaxing.’
Aldi bath foam
A luxurious soak just got much less expensive – at £1.29 per bottle, you can afford to buy this in bulk.
Aldi says: ‘The foam will caress skin softly before leaving a lasting yet delicate scent behind in one of four fragrances. Choose from citrusy notes with lime & patchouli, floral rhubarb & rose, a burst of fruity pomegranate & ginger or embrace all things citrus with the refreshing orange & bergamot.’
Aldi’s Luxury Fragranced Candles are 290g, while the luxe Jo Malone version comes up at 200g. The throw of the former isn’t quite as strong, but it still burns evenly and fills a space with ease. The Aldi candles are also available in several other Jo Malone-esque scents – Blackberry Bay, Peony Blush, and Lime Basil & Mandarin. Top tip: there’s perfume versions too.
Aldi says: ‘Giving your home a cosy warmth with the flicker of the flame, the delicious smell will comfort you throughout cold evenings.’
The reviews say: ‘This candle was recommended by a friend so I bought it to try, then ordered another 5 online. Amazing smell looks fabulous and incredible value.’
